Refined Design for Ocean Performance One significant upgrade to the 13' Saturn Ocean Fishing Kayak is the raised drop-stitch floor, which sits approximately 2" above the waterline with a 200 lb load. This innovative design enhances tracking and performance in ocean conditions by reducing water drag and keeping the kayak stable and responsive. The elevated floor ensures a dry interior, even with a full load of gear or when approaching the kayak's maximum capacity.

Why No Self-Bailing Floor? The self-bailing feature has been removed to enhance ocean performance and maintain a dry ride. Unlike whitewater kayaks, where water intrusion is expected, ocean fishing kayaks benefit from a sealed design. The absence of self-bailing holes ensures no standing water accumulates inside the kayak, especially when fully loaded with gear. This makes the kayak perfect for long fishing trips, providing superior buoyancy and comfort.

Comfort and Versatility The kayak includes two removable aluminum bench seats for a comfortable sit-on-top experience. For stronger back support, the benches can be replaced with optional highback kayak seats, which can be attached to the pre-installed heavy-duty D-rings. Highback seats are not included but can be purchased separately.
